“This may have been one of the most complex projects that I have ever undertaken. The partnership with our customers allowed for innovation and excellent products to be delivered.” – Josh Orahood, Titan CEO
Titan implemented significant modifications to this drum by reconfiguring both the drying and combustion zones. Specifically, they removed an 8-foot segment of the drying zone and replaced it with a newly constructed drum to establish the combustion zone. Additionally, Titan utilized their own fabricated liners to convert the existing combustion zone into a drying zone. Lastly, they installed a new burner and a custom-made RAP collar to ensure optimal functionality.
After a successful drum conversion, a stationary heavy-duty Barber Greene RAP Bin was converted to portable, by adding a new Titan chassis, single deck screen, and conveyor. Chutes were added, and the scale conveyor and gravity uptake were updated. Similarly, a set of 4 stationary Barber Green was transformed into a portable 5 bin system with an added integrated collector conveyor, axles, and a new gooseneck.
Titan led the refurbishment with the following sourced materials:
- Parallel flow CMI drum from Indiana
- CMI Rotoair 318P baghouse from Ohio
- CMI SEB from a secondary site in Ohio
- Portable AC Tank from Indiana
- Single stationary RAP Bin from IL
- Portable Astec cyclone chassis from Kentucky
- Control house from Indiana
- New MCC container with Allen Bradley MCC mounted
- 4 Barber Greene stationary cold feeds from Michigan
Titan enhanced the durability and reliability of a CMI RA318P baghouse by reinforcing its top section with stronger-grade steel. This upgrade not only enhanced the structural integrity of the product but also utilized existing resources wisely.
After careful consideration and planning, Titan successfully designed and installed new ductwork in collaboration with RBS. The final product was painted in the desired color, resulting in a pleasing aesthetic.
